Ingredients List:

  • Black Chana -60gm
  • Onions
  • Green Chili -2
  • Cumin Seeds -1 TSP
  • Chopped Coriander
  • Olive Oil
  • Fenugreek Powder
  • Garam Masala – 1/2 TSP

How to Make The Recipe:

  • First up I’m going to take about 60 grams of soaked and boiled black chana also known as black gram.
  • Now this has immense benefits it’s a very high source of protein. It’s excellent for the hair and it also has a lot of medicinal properties, it contains a lot of antioxidants, it can help boost your immune system and if had the right way it can actually help fight a lot of diseases because it contains phytochemicals.
  • So, after adding the black Chana which is already cooked, I am adding chopped onions these are roughly chopped onions.
  • I’m using about a small size onion then I’m going to throw in two green chilies whole, there is no chopping needed because eventually we’re going to grind it all together to make a fine paste. Then I’m going to add a few spices like coriander powder. I’m adding it about half a teaspoon, one teaspoon of cumin seeds which I’m using in the whole form, then I’m going to add a very secret and tasty flavourful ingredient called Kasturi Methi commonly known as fenugreek powder.
  • Then I am adding about half a teaspoon some salt, garam masala and you’re good to go but before that don’t forget to add the coriander this is a very important ingredient when it comes to cooking kebabs. Be it Indian cooking or Lebanese whenever we are cooking kebabs we don’t forget the cilantro so, I have added a whole bunch of coriander without having chopped it now.
  • I’m just going to grind it all to a fine paste, as you can see this is again coarsely ground not very fine but enough to make sure that all the ingredients have managed to come together. Once this is done, we are going to form patty shapes good, one and a half to two inches size roundels i managed to make about five to six pieces out of this quantity.
  • If you wish you can make it smaller or bigger depending on whatever time you have. So once this is done, we are going to leave the kebabs to set in the fridge for good 10 to 15 minutes and then we’re going to heat a non-stick pan with just about half a teaspoon of oil and we’re going to cook it well until it is crisp and nice.
  • Kebab will only taste nice when the outside is crunchy and inside is soft so inside is well and soft because it’s all cooked and it’s been brought together by grinding into a paste but the outside to make it crunchy because we’re not frying it we must actually roast it on low flame, for good seven to eight minutes until it has turned the dark brown colour, which every typically known kebab has as you can see they look mouth-watering scrumptious and so tasty.
  • Finally we have reached the end of How to make Chana Kabab for Weight Loss , So once Kababs made, they are all ready to consume and don’t forget to serve it hot with either a mint chutney or a garlic and yogurt dip. If you’re serving the yogurt dip of course it’s not a vegan option but if you want you can use a vegan curd and make it into a dip. So this was the quick and easy recipe of my favourite kebabs when I don’t want to cook long enough meals, I just chop a bowl of salad and enjoy these kebabs. I suggest you do the same beet for lunch or for dinner. This kebab recipe is a sure shot winner. So this is it for today’s video.
